1. Overview
StandingDesk ("we," "our," or "the app") is developed by Spaghetti Coder Apps. We built StandingDesk with privacy as a core principle: your posture and activity data stays on your device and, if you choose, in your private iCloud account. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how you stay in control.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Data You Create in the App
- Timer sessions (sit, stand, and move intervals)
- Daily activity summaries and streaks
- User preferences (timer mode, active hours, notification settings)
- Custom timer modes you create
This data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you have iCloud enabled, it syncs to your private iCloud container — we never see it.
2.2 Subscription Information
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple and managed through RevenueCat, our subscription infrastructure provider. We receive an anonymous purchase identifier so we can verify entitlement; we do not receive your name, payment method, or Apple ID.
2.3 Analytics
We use Mixpanel to understand how features are used so we can improve the app. Collected analytics are anonymous and include events like screen views, button taps, and feature usage. You can opt out at any time in Settings.
2.4 Diagnostic Data
If you opt in through iOS Settings, Apple may share anonymized crash and performance data with us. This contains no personal content.
3. How We Use Information
- Provide the core timer, analytics, and reminder features
- Verify and manage your subscription
- Diagnose crashes and improve app performance
- Understand which features are used so we can prioritize improvements
We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not train AI models on your data.
4. Sharing of Information
We share limited, anonymized data with the following service providers, and only for the purposes listed:
- Apple — App distribution, subscription billing, and optional iCloud sync
- RevenueCat — Subscription management and entitlement verification
- Mixpanel — Anonymous product analytics (opt-out available)
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any party not listed above.
5. HealthKit & Health Data
If you grant StandingDesk permission to read or write HealthKit data, that data remains under Apple's HealthKit framework and is protected by your device passcode and Face ID / Touch ID. We never transmit HealthKit data off your device. You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in the iOS Health app.
6. Data Security
Data stored on your device is protected by iOS hardware encryption. iCloud-synced data is encrypted in transit and at rest using Apple's end-to-end CloudKit protections. Third-party providers (RevenueCat, Mixpanel) use industry-standard TLS and encrypted storage.
7. Data Retention & Deletion
You can delete all app data at any time by deleting the app, which removes local data. iCloud-synced data can be deleted via your iCloud settings. To request deletion of any analytics or subscription records associated with your account, contact us at the email below.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (including under GDPR and CCPA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and to opt out of analytics. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@apptytude.com.
9. Children's Privacy
StandingDesk is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be surfaced in the app before they take effect.
