Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how Dukie ("we", "our", or "the App") collects, uses, and protects your information.

1. Information We Collect

No account, no sign-in

Dukie has no accounts. You do not create one, and we do not issue one. There is no username, no password, and no Sign in with Apple. We hold no profile of you because there is nothing to hold.

What you log stays yours

Everything you record in the app is stored on your device:

• Bristol type, colour, duration, amount, date and time
• Any notes you write
• Any photo you choose to attach
• Your app preferences and settings

None of this is ever sent to us. When iCloud sync is active, it travels between your own devices through your own private iCloud database, which Apple encrypts and which we cannot read, query, or access. Sync is controlled by iCloud itself, not by us — to stop it, sign out of iCloud on your device, or turn off iCloud for Dukie in your device settings. Your entries stay on the device either way.

Anonymous usage data

We collect a small amount of anonymous information about how the app is used:

• Which screens are opened, and how often
• Which buttons are tapped
• How many entries have been saved, and whether optional fields were filled in
• How far through onboarding people get

This anonymous measurement is part of how the app works and cannot be switched off from within the app. It is not tied to your identity, and it never includes anything you log. If you would rather it did not happen at all, do not use the App, or contact us at support@apptytude.com.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the anonymous usage data described above to:

• Understand which features are worth keeping and improving
• Find where people get stuck
• Fix bugs and crashes

That is the whole list. We do not build advertising profiles, we do not run ad networks, and we do not use your data to train any model. Dukie contains no AI and sends nothing anywhere for analysis.

3. Data Storage & Security

• On your device: entries are stored locally using Apple's SwiftData, inside the app's protected sandbox.
• Your own iCloud: when sync is active, entries are held in your private iCloud database. This is your Apple account, not ours. We have no server that holds your entries, because we have no server at all. Signing out of iCloud, or turning iCloud off for Dukie in your device settings, stops sync.
• Device lock: you can require Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode before the app will open.
• Discreet notifications: reminders say "Daily check-in" by default, so nothing about the app is readable over your shoulder.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We never share your entries, because we never receive them.

The only data that leaves your device to reach a third party is the anonymous usage information described in Section 1, which goes to Mixpanel, our analytics provider. If you send us feedback from within the app, the message you write is delivered to our private support channel.

We may disclose information if required to do so by law.

5. Your Rights

• Access: every entry is visible in the app, and always has been — it is on your device.
• Export: export everything as a CSV file from Settings › Your data. Export is a Premium feature; your entries remain visible and deletable in the app regardless.
• Delete: delete any entry, or all of them at once, from Settings. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device.
• Anonymous measurement: the usage data in Section 1 is collected as a standard part of running the App and has no in-app switch. It carries nothing you log. Contact us if you have a question about it.

Depending on where you live (including under GDPR and CCPA) you may have additional rights. Because we hold no account and no personal data about you, most such requests are satisfied by the controls above. For anything else, contact us at support@apptytude.com.

6. Third-Party Services

• Apple iCloud: sync between your own devices, under your Apple account. Stopped by signing out of iCloud or turning iCloud off for Dukie in device settings.
• Mixpanel: anonymous usage analytics, as described above. Never receives entry content.

Each service has its own privacy policy governing the data it handles.

7. Children's Privacy

This app is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app or via email. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
